It has a long history going back to 1864, when Theodoros Mecouris, a cosmopolitan businessman, bought the land. This was the beginning of what would become one of the most well-known and respected wineries in Greece. The estate a begun with the plantation of Refosco vines from Friuli in northern Italy, a variety which is the cornerstone of the vineyard to this day. Their dedication in maintaining the tradition and quality of the estate allowed it to flourish for more than 150 years, which is indicative of their commitment.<\/p>\n<p>The18 hectare vineyard surrounds the winery. Part of it is the original 150 year old Refosco a witness to the rich history of the estate.
