Gikas winery has a long history in viticulture \u00a0going back to 1875, when the family was involved in the cultivation of vineyards belonging to the Skouze and Cambas families. In the middle of the 20th<\/sup> century, they started investing in land buying vineyards in Attica and in the 90\u2019s the winery was founded in Spata.<\/p>\n

Involvement with viticulture began in 1875 at the Skouze and Cambas vineyars. Beginning of the 20th century vineyards in Attica are acquired. In the 90\u2019s the winery in Spata was founded. Today the 4th generation of the family is continuing the family winemaking tradition.

The members of the family have dedicated many decades in vine cultivation and the production of high-quality wines.<\/p>\n

The vineyards are located on the slopes of mount Kithairon at an evelation of 350 metres. The cool summer breezes combined with the wet cold winters yield livery and very aromatic wines. Also, the Attica vineyard covers 6 hectares at an elevation of150 meters also produces exception grapes.<\/p>\n

The varieties cultivated include Savetiano, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Vradiano.
